Durga Acharya

Durga Acharya has been appointed as the Director of Strategic Partnership and Fundraising at Trillium Foundation. Currently serving as the Lab Manager at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC), she oversees day-to-day laboratory operations and ensures the smooth functioning of research activities. Durga holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Cell and Systems Biology from the University of Toronto, reflecting her deep commitment to advancing scientific research and education.

Specializing in Electron Microscopy, Durga has played a pivotal role in supporting high-impact research initiatives at UTSC. In addition to managing lab operations, she has been instrumental in strategic planning and grant writing, helping to secure critical funding for research infrastructure and innovation. Her exceptional attention to detail, effective resource management, and ability to cultivate a collaborative environment have earned her widespread recognition. Durga is also deeply passionate about mentoring and guiding the next generation of researchers, which has been a central aspect of her leadership.
