Celebrating Women’s Leadership and Empowerment at Trillium Teej 2025

Teej, at its very heart, is a festival dedicated to women — celebrating their strength, resilience, and cultural identity. At Trillium Foundation, this meaning resonates deeply, as our team is led by women, including our president, Lilen Gurung, and supported by a strong board where women’s leadership shines.

This year’s Teej festival was not only about rituals and celebrations, but also about recognizing women as drivers of community change. From organizing the festival to leading cultural performances and ensuring every detail came together, women were at the forefront. Their leadership reflects our mission to create spaces where women’s voices are heard, their leadership is nurtured, and their power is celebrated.

For Trillium, empowering women through culture and leadership is not symbolic — it is the foundation of our work and a testament to our vision: “Together, Empowering Minds, and Transforming Communities.”
